How is the content delivered?
Each month we send you an email with a link to a secure download. You then drop the content into your preferred email service provider’s platform and send it to your list.

What format is the content sent?
PDF, RTF & TXT in both US and UK English. Appropriately resized images are also included and where possible, we also provide links to the raw, royalty-free images in case you want to do your own resizing. Some articles include screenshot images.

What is the quality of your writing like?
All of our writers speak English fluently and have a strong understanding of the topic. You won’t find any dodgy 2 cents a word writers working in sweatshops here. Our reputation hinges on producing quality articles each and every month, so we strive to produce better-than-average results.

Is the content unique to me or do all subscribers receive the same content?
All subscribers receive the same content.

If everyone gets the same content, isn’t it possible that my recipient will read the same articles from more than one developer?
Possible? Yes. Likely? No. The world is a big place with millions of developers and prospects, so the chances of this happening are low. Even if it did, that’s not a big deal as we write the articles in a non-personal manner, so it won’t sound like two people came up with the same content.

Can the content also be published on my blog?
Yes, but we strongly recommend that you “noindex” those pages. Google doesn’t index duplicate content and although there isn’t officially a penalty for this, it’s not going to help your SEO efforts if the only content appearing on your pages also appears all over the web. At best, Google will not index it. At worst, if this is the only content you publish on your blog, it may affect your overall site quality score. Therefore, if you choose to publish the content on your site, include the following tag in the head section of the pages containing our content:<meta name=”robots” content=”noindex”>

Are there any restrictions on the way the content is used?
We designed this service so you can easily send quality content to your email list. As described above, we also allow you to publish it on your blog. If you wish to use it in a different way, please contact us first to discuss. In addition:

  • You can’t resell the content.
  • Each subscription is to be used for a single business.
  • You must not spam. Recipients must have either specifically requested to join your list or have an existing connection with you.
  • You may not send to more than 1000 subscribers. The service has been designed and priced for web developers, almost all of who will have fewer than 1000 subscribers. If your organization has a larger reader-base than this (e.g. web hosts), then contact us to discuss.


How long is my commitment?
This is a yearly subscription. You will receive new content, every month, for 12 months and you then have the option to renew for a further 12 months.
The reason we don’t have shorter plans is that we don’t want to sell something that doesn’t work. Let me retell a story I read about the carpet industry. On average, it takes 18 months for a couple to get new carpet laid. From the first conversation (“honey – do we think we should get some new carpet”) to ignoring it for months, to researching the various options, to ignoring it for a bit longer, to getting quotes, to choosing a supplier, to the completion of the installation takes 18 months! Of course, that’s an average and some will take longer, shorter, or perhaps never even follow-through. Clients who need a website can take just as long. Although one of the benefits of this service is that this time is reduced, it can still take time for prospects to get to know you, like you and trust you enough to do business with you. For some people, this system will kick in right away with existing clients wanting to do more business. With others, it will take longer. So stick with it for a year and see how much new business you bring in. Just one extra job a year makes this a worthwhile investment.

Is it a hassle to cancel?
I hate services that make you jump through hoops to cancel. That’s not the case here. You can cancel from your subscriptions page. In the unlikely event that you get stuck, contact us and we’ll promptly sort it out.

Which platform should I use to send emails?
Any platform that allows you to easily add images. Some platforms make this difficult and use the argument that sending emails should be personal and therefore should not include images. We can see this making sense in some situations, but not in this case. So go with whichever platform you’re most comfortable with, but if you don’t know where to start, check out Campaign Monitor.

How often should I send emails?
We supply a minimum of 2 articles a month, so aim for twice a month. Monthly isn’t enough as it means you’re only in contact with your list 12 times a year. Weekly can get a bit intrusive, leading to lower open rates. So twice a month is a happy compromise.

Do you offer a guarantee?
Not for this service. Firstly, as mentioned above, you might need to give this a go for a while before you see results. As you’ve provided content during this time to your list and possibly published it on your blog, there is no way this can be returned and as such we don’t offer a money back guarantee.

Can I change the content?
Yes. You’re free to add or remove content.

Can I request a specific topic?
Article suggestions are always welcome, but there’s no guarantee we’ll write it.
